This form of design has become increasingly popular in recent years. Since then, rumors have progressed, and as a result, we now have a better idea of what to anticipate.

Apple is currently working on a design that will contain not just a single hole-punch cutout but rather a design that would incorporate both a circular cutout and a pill-shaped cutout.

The dot projector for Face ID will most likely be housed in the circular cutout, while the front camera, the infrared camera used for Face ID, and maybe other components will be housed in the pill-shaped cutout.

Apple may be intending to place some of the Face ID technology underneath the display of the iPhone.

If they do this, the required cutouts will be smaller, and more screen real estate will be available on the front of the device.

Having said that, the combined size of the two notches is not significantly different from the size of the ordinary notch, so you shouldn’t anticipate a significant increase in the amount of display space that is available.

Although the iPhone 14 Pro models will get a different front-facing camera setup, the standard iPhone 14 and 14 Max models will feature regular notches.

They will look similar to the iPhone 13 models. The iPhone 14 Pro models would get a different camera setup on the back of the device.


ProMotion Display

Early reports about the iPhone 14 suggested that all four models of the iPhone 14 that will be released in 2022 may boast ProMotion displays with refresh rates of up to 120Hz, but it appears that this won’t be the case.

Display analyst Ross Young speculates that Apple would limit the availability of the ProMotion technology to the iPhone 14 Pro versions since there is a shortage of panels capable of supporting the technology.

Young has made it quite obvious that he believes that 120Hz refresh rates will continue to be a feature of the iPhone 14 Pro. Always-on display technology is also anticipated to be released as a feature specific to the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

Technology Of The Cameras

There is a possibility that the Ultra Wide camera will be updated on all of the iPhones released in 2022.

In addition, the wide-angle camera and telephoto lens on the iPhone 14 Pro models will receive substantial updates and enhancements.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects that the 2022 Pro iPhone models will feature a 48-megapixel Wide camera, which would be a significant upgrade from the current 12-megapixel camera and the capability to shoot 8K video.

Car Crash Detection

Apple is now developing a function that will allow the iPhone and the Apple Watch to identify when an automobile accident has occurred.

This feature, which might be released in 2022, is currently in development.

When a car accident occurs, it will monitor the vehicle’s acceleration to look for a change in the gravitational force and use sensors like accelerometers to do so.

Together, support for WiFi 6E and longer battery life when using 5G technology could result from this.

Connectivity of Satellites

Alongside the modem, Apple plans to introduce or implement satellite-based emergency features that will allow users to be able to send texts in emergency situations and report major emergencies in areas without cellular coverage.

With the release of the iPhone 13, Apple decided to ship some models without a nano-SIM in the box.

Instead, cellular plans can be activated using an eSIM, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card.

A nano-SIM is not required to add cellular plans to a device if it is equipped with an eSIM.

Because eSIM technology is not yet accessible everywhere, iPhones that will be offered in certain regions will need to continue to come with a nano-SIM slot.

Even in regions where an iPhone with no SIM card slot is a commercially available option, Apple may still give customers the option of purchasing a model that requires a SIM card.

iPhone 14 Launch Date
